Create a Product Percentage Discount (manage gift-card combos via policy/messaging)

Create an Advanced Discount Code using the Product Discount module (e.g., 10% off selected products). The platform cannot enforce blocking gift card combinations. As alternatives: 1) Publish clear promotion terms stating the discount cannot be combined with gift cards and include this in marketing and checkout copy outside of the discount engine; 2) Train support/fulfillment to apply the rule manually when needed; 3) Consider a third-party app or custom checkout integration that supports payment-method exclusions. Optionally, add an Order Discount with a minimum purchase amount to reduce gift-card-only redemptions (this does not block gift cards but is supported).
