First Variant to Show up

I noticed that the images being pulled for notifications/emails, etc is the image assigned to a product's variant. We use our variant images to assign to swatches, so sometimes that image is just a really closeup photo of a color or pattern. Is it possible to change the default picture shown in notifications to be the first photo of the product instead of the variant photo?
