Give the gift as a 100% product discount that customers must add to cart

Create an Advanced Discount Code campaign using a Product Discount that targets the gift product and sets the discount to 100% (or fixed amount equal to the gift price). Customers will need to add the gift to their cart and enter the discount code at checkout. Add clear storefront messaging (product pages, cart/checkout banners, or the promo copy) instructing customers to add the free gift once their order reaches the threshold. Note: our system cannot auto‑add the gift or automatically condition the gift on the order subtotal.
