Manual promo codes with one-time-use and compare-at price support

I want the ability to create manual promo codes that customers must type at checkout (not auto-applied), including options to generate unique one-time-use codes or set usage limits per code, and an option to represent discounts by adjusting a product's compare-at price so the discount is displayed while the selling price remains unchanged.
