Notify customers when a product becomes available for pre-order

The merchant would like the ability to automatically notify customers who previously signed up for back-in-stock alerts when an out-of-stock product becomes available for pre-order. Currently, the app only supports notifications for items that return to stock, which limits the merchant’s ability to engage interested customers when products transition to a pre-order status instead of full restock.

This feature would help merchants recover lost sales opportunities and maintain customer interest during product restocking cycles by reaching out proactively when pre-orders open. It would also streamline communication by leveraging existing subscriber lists without requiring customers to re-sign up for notifications.
