Option to keep preorder badge visible in the cart drawer

The merchant would like the “Pre-order” badge to remain visible in the cart drawer, even when additional in-stock products are added to the cart. Currently, Shopify refreshes the entire cart drawer HTML whenever a new product is added, which causes the pre-order badge to disappear. This creates confusion for customers, since they can no longer see that one of their items is on pre-order once they reach the cart drawer.

The ability to keep the badge persistent in the cart drawer would ensure customers always have clear visibility on which products are pre-orders, reducing confusion and setting proper expectations before checkout. This is especially important for merchants who use multiple product templates and rely on the cart drawer as a central step in the customer journey.
