show/hide the preorder widget based on customer tag

We would like to be able to hide/show the preorder products to customers based on their tags.

Our store is very selected and our customers need to be members of our community.

Within that community there are some top rated members, that we would like to allow to pre-order.

Easiest would be to just give them a tag and the pre-order widget would either appear or not.
